Detailed Description of the Assignment  The main objective was to assess the capacity gaps among actors in agricultural and dairy products value chains in Kongwa district with respect to marketing, value addition and packaging  Specifically, the assignment sought do the following:  To assess the existing value addition, packaging and marketing practices for agricultural and livestock products in Mtanana and Ugogoni wards  To identify the capacity gap between the existing postharvest handling and management practices of the agricultural and livestock products value chain  To identify the farmers’ knowledge gap on value addition technologies for various agricultural and livestock products  To identify the knowledge gap on opportunities and constraints to inclusive market participation (i.e. existing supply chains, backwards and forwards linkages, etc.) in the products chains
