Detailed Description of the Assignment The primary objective of the consultancy is to conduct a research/mapping exercise that will support the programme intervention in Tanzania (Korogwe and Handeni- Tanga) Specially the assignment entails the following: Review and stock take the previous and current climate-related strategies, plans, reports and actions. Review existing national legal and regulatory frameworks with regards to youth involvement in the overall policy development processes Review recent national, regional and international developments in CC negotiations; Review existing and proposed projects and programmes relevant to CC; Carry out consultations with relevant public authorities/stakeholders to identify national priorities for addressing Climate Change; Visiting “representative” communities across the two districts, hold focus group discussions on their main activities, vulnerabilities to Climate Change and coping mechanisms Stakeholders mapping at national, regional, district and community levels, in terms of their levels of awareness and influence on climate change polices and /or action plans implementation with a particular focus to youth.
